Kara Chun

Kara is a Director of firm du Chateau Chun and has over 20 years of experience in access and building code consulting. It is with this experience, combined with a keen interest in the mobility of people with disabilities that provide Kara with an intimate knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and a thorough understanding of the Australian Standards as they relate to people with disabilities and federal Disability Discrimination legislation.

This ensures Kara is well placed to provide expert advice to design teams with regard to access for people with disabilities throughout the built environment.

Kara plays an active role in the development and improvement of statutory legislation, being involved in the Review Committee (Australian Standards 1428 Series) and a past member of the Building Appeals Board and the Building Regulatory Advisory Committee in Victoria.
